The British Fashion Council (BFC) is the official voice for an industry that contributes £10 billion to the UK economy and employs almost half a million people. The BFC showcases British Designers and seeks to develop London's position as a major player in the international fashion arena. As a result, London Fashion Week ranks alongside New York, Milan and Paris as one of the 'Big Four'.
Winona has been BFC's web partner since 2007. Our first project was to develop the online platform that helps organise and showcase the globally recognised London Fashion Week event. This includes bespoke databases for designers and exhibitors, e-marketing, legacy CRM integration, video streaming channel, and systems to deliver catwalk photos and footage to the site within hours of the event.
In subsequent years we developed the BFC corporate site and a sub-site for the annual British Fashion Awards.
In 2011 we worked closely with the BFC web team to deliver a re-launch of the corporate site, introducing new branding and new content to provide access and guidance on all BFC initiatives. The site is developing as a wider resource for designers and aspiring designers and will ultimately provide a portal for the industry.
2011 also saw the launch of the London Fashion Week mobile channel and Fashion 2012 (a resource showcasing fashion events, exhibitions and activities during Olympic year). We are currently developing Designer Fact File (an interactive portal of essential information for young designers) and London Show Rooms (a global marketing platform for designers showing at London Fashion Week).
