LONSAS Becomes CRB Umbrella Body
|
Posted: 26 May 2006 Winona-managed arts education website, The London Schools Arts Service (LONSAS) recently became a registered CRB umbrella body. LONSAS can now process Standard or Enhanced Disclosures for artists, organisations, and those working in the arts and voluntary sectors. Individual artists and arts organisations have important responsibilities when it comes to running activities, especially in or with schools, one of which is to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved. All artists wishing to join the LONSAS Directory are required to have a Disclosure certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau, and LONSAS will process applications for any artist without a Disclosure. LONSAS offers a fast, efficient and economical service for the arts and voluntary sectors - enabling them to concentrate their efforts on their own projects. LONSAS can also process Disclosure applications for organisations and individuals beyond the London Schools sector. It provides voluntary organisations with a crucial back-up facility that is under-represented across the umbrella bodies. |
